About the Conservatory
South Bay Music Conservatory was founded in 2021 by violinist and educator Emily Moore with a vision to bring exceptional music education and meaningful community together under one roof.
What began as a small teaching studio has grown into a thriving community of students, families, and professional musicians dedicated to the pursuit of musical excellence.

Our philosophy is simple: students deserve outstanding teachers, thoughtful instruction, and an environment where they feel supported, challenged, and inspired.
We believe that learning an instrument develops far more than musical ability. Through consistent practice, collaboration, and performance, students cultivate discipline, creativity, resilience, and confidence that extend into every area of life.
At SBMC, high expectations and joy in the process go hand in hand.

Violinist • Educator • Performing Artist
Emily Moore is a Southern California violinist, educator, and the founder of South Bay Music Conservatory.
She began studying violin and piano at age four and earned her Bachelor of Music in Popular Music Performance from the University of Southern California. Her training spans classical and contemporary performance, and she continues her professional development through the Suzuki Association and ongoing pedagogy studies.
An active performer in the Los Angeles music community, Emily has recorded on numerous albums, collaborated with artists across a wide range of musical genres, and performed at hundreds of weddings and events.
Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that exceptional music education should nurture the whole student. She founded SBMC to create a place where young musicians receive rigorous, individualized training while developing confidence, independence, and a lifelong relationship with music.
